Biotech Corp. was
established by researchers
from the Korea Research
Institute of Bioscience
& Biotechnology
in January 2000
with the aim of
building a ¡®clearer
environment¡¯ and
¡®better life¡¯
using their specialties
in bioengineering
technologies and
functional biomaterials.
The
technology developed
by the company to
produce ¥â-glucan
from a microorganism
received an Excellent
Korean Technology
award from the Ministry
of Science &
Technology and New
Health Technology
by the Korea Health
Industry Development
Institute. We have
also earned recognition
as one of the most
promising, innovative
technology companies
from the Small &
Medium Business
Administration in
2003. The plant
is equipped with
a fermentation facility
of capacity up to
34 tons, separation
and purification
facilities and packing
equipment to produce
¥â-glucan. ¥â-Glucan
is used as a functional
ingredient due to
its immune-stimulating
and anti-cancer
effects. We
also produce kefir,
another functional
ingredient effective
for improving intestine
functions and allergy
treatment. In addition,
we offer kefir-based
beverage, fermented
soybean powder,
functional lactic
acid bacteria, fibrinolytic
enzymes and other
functional foods
in our product base.
We
utilize these ingredients
to manufacture the
agricultural feed,
¡®best food¡¯, which
not only prevents
livestock and hatchery
fish disease but
also offers supreme
quality meat due
to improvements
in the farming environment. The use of these
ingredients will
contribute to a
dramatic profit
gain for farm households.
Our
products are currently
being sold throughout
Europe and in the
very near future
will be marketed
in China and other
countries in South
East Asia. We strive
to remain an industry
leader for functional
food additive and
feed additives through
seamless efforts
for the development
of new products
and technology.
